Youth Digital Art and Comics (Mar 2nd - Apr 20th)
This is an 8 week course that will spend 4 weeks teaching you the fundamentals of digital art (taught by Angelo Aquino), and 4 weeks on the building blocks of creating comics (taught by Aaron Polk). This class is for ages 8-12.

This course requires 3 students to run, and maxes out at 10 students.
This class will be:
Tuesdays from 4:30pm to 6:00pm
March 2nd to April 20th, 2021
All digital programs used during this course will be free to use, though it is recommended that the student have access to digital drawing devices such as Wacom Tablets, or digital tablets such as iPads.

This class will require the students to use pencils, paper, inking supplies (such as pens and markers), and the free programs Photopea and Gravit.
The class will be taught online using the app Discord. Students will be able to log on for classes, receive assignments, and post their work. An email will go out the week before classes begin to make sure each student is set up.

ANGELO AQUINO
Angelo is a graphic design teacher and a freelance illustrator. He has been teaching high school graphics and 3D modeling for 10 years, and has assisted many students develop portfolios to help reach their post-secondary goals.
AARON POLK
Join NYT Bestselling cartoonist Aaron Polk (Dog Man, Cat Kid Comic Club, Investigators) in learning the building blocks of comics creation. In his classes students will learn how professional cartoonists write, draft, and draw comics, as well as learn how to use professional software. Aaron has been making comics for over 10 years, and has taught comics creation courses for young people for the last 3 years.
